My inspiration of taking up civil services as a career came from Prof. Sathyashree Boominathan several years ago when I had met her for sponsorship for a college event. She said, 'Adil, some day when you feel an aspiration to become a civil servant, come to me!'.Her words kept lingering in my mind and lured me towards taking up this most challenging exam.
And so my journey with KingMakers IAS Academy began the very next year of its inception. I have appeared for 4 Prelims and 3 Mains Exam. It is because of my mentors at KingMakers and the constant motivation from Academy, I was able to endure through the process of giving subsequent attempts. KingMakers IAS Academy discovered the caliber in me and identified the value that I was able to provide fellow aspirants on what one should not be doing while on the preparation mode for UPSC. He thus motivated me to take up a faculty role here at KingMakers.
I currently handle Current Affairs and Economics and this role has given a positive edge to my UPSC preparation. The best thing about studying at KingMakers is the opportunity to practice writing and self-evaluation of one's own daily preparation through GOOD MORNING TEST from DAY 1 of the training. Good Morning Test covers 10 MCQ's from current affairs of the previous day and 1 essay followed by 1 hour discussion on the answers. In about a year's time, an aspirant would have already practiced writing 300+ essays thereby mastering the art of essay writing.
