{"id":720,"date":"2024-01-08T07:21:03","date_gmt":"2024-01-08T07:21:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iasquest.com\/?p=720"},"modified":"2026-02-11T19:23:27","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T19:23:27","slug":"niti-the-last-village-in-chamoli-district-bordering-china-will-be-connected-to-a-double-lane-road-this-year-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kingmakersiasacademy.com\/current-affairs\/niti-the-last-village-in-chamoli-district-bordering-china-will-be-connected-to-a-double-lane-road-this-year-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Niti, the last village in Chamoli district bordering China, will be connected to a double lane road this year (2024)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Niti, the last village in Chamoli district bordering China, will be connected to a double lane road in 2024<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This <strong>road connects the border area villages of Kailashpur, Farkiya, Banpa, Gamshali, and Niti\u201d. <\/strong>The development of a double-lane road in Niti village aims to alleviate the challenges faced by devotees when visiting the Timmarsain cave to seek blessings from Baba Barfani.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Vibrant Village Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>central government has identified 2,967 villages across 46 blocks in 19 districts along the northern borders to be developed under the Vibrant Village Programme. <\/strong>In the first phase, priority has been given to 662 of these villages, including 455 in <strong>Arunachal Pradesh<\/strong>, 75 in <strong>Himachal Pradesh<\/strong>, 35 in<strong> Ladakh,<\/strong> 46 in<strong> Sikkim<\/strong>, and 51 border villages in <strong>Uttarakhand.<\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The government is particularly focused on improving and enhancing road connectivity from the last village along the country\u2019s border.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The programme envisages focused areas of interventions in the select villages for <strong>creation of opportunities for livelihood generation through promotion of tourism &amp; cultural heritage, skill development &amp; entrepreneurship and development of cooperative societies including agriculture\/horticulture, cultivation of medicinal plants\/herbs etc<\/strong>. the interventions also include providing road connectivity to unconnected villages, housing &amp;
