GROUP-1 Prelims

The Tamil Nadu public Service Commission conducts the Group I examination process on a yearly basis for the recruitment of eligible candidates for various posts under the Group I services of the government of Tamil Nadu. The Preliminary Examination is the first stage of the three Stages of the recruitment process conducted by the TNPSC. The Preliminary exam consists of 200 MCQ type questions to be answered and is scored out of 300 marks with the duration of the Exam being 3 Hours. The Prelims Exam paper is divided into two categories with 150 questions from General Studies (Degree Standard) and 50 Questions from Aptitude and Mental Ability (SSLC standard). The candidates must attain the minimum cutoff marks determined on a yearly basis to proceed with the rest of the selection process.
